Your data and privacy

What we store, what we share, and what happens if you delete your account.

What we store

Your account and student profiles, every session and attempt, the work items you upload, and the artifacts (insights, plans) we generate from them. We store enough to make Masterly work, and not more.

What we share

Nothing about your student is sold or shared with advertisers. We don't have advertisers. The only other companies involved are the service providers that run Masterly: hosting in Sydney (BinaryLane), Cloudflare in front of the site and for backups, OpenAI for grading and content generation, Stripe for payments, Resend for account email, and Sentry for error reports. Several of them are based in the United States, so some data is handled overseas. OpenAI does not use API data to train its models. The privacy policy lists exactly what each one sees.

Export and deletion

From Settings → Danger zone, you can download a JSON export of everything we have on you, or delete your account entirely. Deletion is immediate and permanent - student profiles, history, and any active subscription all go. There's no recovery.

Read the export before you delete. We can't undelete an account.
