Maths and English for kids who find school hard
Ten minutes a day that actually stick.
Masterly gives your child short, guided Maths and English sessions every day, mapped to the Australian Curriculum and strongest for Years 3 to 8. Skills are taught in small steps, graded fairly, and reviewed until they are genuinely mastered - and you can see all of it.

How it works
Three moving parts. You're involved weekly, not daily.
- Step 1
Add what school sent home
Snap a worksheet or paste the task. Masterly pulls out the questions, maps each one to a curriculum skill and writes a marking guide. You approve it before your child sees a thing.
- Step 2
One short session a day
A quick review of what's due, one new skill taught in small steps, then practice. Ten to twenty minutes, same shape every day, so it becomes routine instead of a fight.
- Step 3
See what actually stuck
Every answer is graded against a rubric. A skill counts as mastered only with repeated evidence, comes back for review on a schedule, and you get a plain-English weekly picture.
For kids who find school hard
Designed around ADHD and learning differences, not retrofitted.
Masterly was built for a Year 8 student with ADHD before it was built for anyone else. Short steps, a predictable routine and grading that rewards understanding are the defaults, not a setting. Tell us about your child once and every session adapts to them.
Tap, don't type
Matching, ordering, sorting, number lines and shading. Typing is for when it's the point, not the obstacle.
Small steps, visible finish line
Every activity shows where you are and how long is left. Nothing open-ended, nothing endless.
Graded for understanding
Spelling and messy working don't cost marks unless they're the skill. Dictation is built in for writing.
Hints before answers
Stuck means a nudge, then a bigger nudge, then the answer with the reasoning - never a dead end.
For parents
Mastery you can see, in plain English.
Schools move at a fixed pace and report twice a year. Masterly shows you every week which skills are solid, which are due for review and which just slipped on real homework - with the evidence, not a percentage.
- Weekly summary written for a parent, not a teacher
- Every grade shows the rubric and the quoted evidence
- Regressions are flagged and re-taught automatically
- Full history of what your child saw and answered
What's inside
Serious under the hood.
Maths and English first
Maths and English are the heart of Masterly: lessons, practice and review are planned for your child automatically, and they're strongest for Years 3 to 8. Other subjects, like Science and Humanities, are supported through the schoolwork you add and are in beta.
Marking you can audit
Each grade shows the rubric, the evidence quoted from your child's answer, and one kind, concrete next step. No black box.
Regression is caught, not hidden
If a mastered skill slips on real homework, it's flagged, re-taught and reviewed again. You're told, not asked.

Questions parents ask
- Which subjects and year levels does it cover?
- Maths and English from Kindergarten to Year 10 of the Australian Curriculum (version 9), and they're strongest for Years 3 to 8. Other subjects are in beta: add your child's Science, Humanities or other schoolwork and Masterly turns it into questions and tracks those skills too. Their lessons are newer and less reviewed than Maths and English.
- Is there a free trial?
- Yes. Every new family gets 14 days of Standard free, including 5 schoolwork uploads, with no card needed. Afterwards you stay on the Free plan unless you choose one, and nothing your child has done is lost.
- Does my child need their own login?
- Yes, and you create it during setup. The student sees only their daily session; the parent account sees everything.
- How much of this is AI?
- AI extracts questions from schoolwork, writes the teaching steps and practice, and grades answers against a rubric. It never decides mastery on its own: the same server-side rules apply to every student, and every piece of AI content is checked and stored before it is shown.
- How involved do I need to be?
- Weekly, not daily. The only thing that waits for you is approving questions extracted from new schoolwork. Everything else schedules itself and tells you what it did.
- What happens to our data?
- It stays in Australia, is never sold, and AI providers process it under contract with no training on your responses. You can export or delete everything from Settings.
